Computational neuroscientist and author: theories of mind and consciousness
Who they are, and what we talked about
Ogi Ogas is a mathematical neuroscientist and author with a doctorate in computational neuroscience from Boston University. He directs the Dark Horse Project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has written for general readers on the science of the mind.
He has been a guest twice. In 2023 the conversation followed how thinking might have emerged and his ideas about what he calls supermind. In 2024 they explored a proposed unified theory of consciousness and how it relates to the hard problem, including the adaptive resonance theory of Stephen Grossberg.
