Who they are, and what we talked about
Bernardo Kastrup holds doctorates in philosophy and in computer engineering and is executive director of the Essentia Foundation. He is associated with analytic idealism, the view that reality is fundamentally mental and that individual minds are dissociated parts of a wider mind.
He has been a guest twice. The first conversation, in 2022, asks whether consciousness is the fundamental reality and how idealism differs from panpsychism and illusionism. The second, in 2023, works through the case for analytic idealism and the main objections to it, chapter by chapter.
